The Basics

Do I need an appointment?

Yes, all salon visits require an appointment as we do not accept walk-ins! Please click here to book. Feel free to peruse our Appointment FAQ.

For same-day appointments, please e-mail concierge@eightcranes.ca for the quickest response.

How do I book a rental?

Book an appointment and come visit us in-salon to browse and try our inventory. Once you find the dress, we will reserve your dates and walk you through the full process.

While our rental booking process can be completed online, we highly recommend visiting us in-store to view our full catalogue. Online bookings must still be picked up in-store on your rental start date.

How do i pick-up and return my rental?

Items must be picked up on the first day of the Scheduled Rental Period at our salon during opening hours.

Items must be dropped off on or before the last day of the Scheduled Rental Period. For after-hour returns, there is a camera monitored drop box located at 358 King Street East. The item must be returned with the same garment bag and hanger provided at pick-up.

At the moment, we do not ship rentals. However, we plan to offer this service in the next 6 months to service all Canadians! Stay tuned.

What if I return my rental late?

A late fee of $100 per day is applied to the credit card on file until the item is returned.

If the item is not returned after 7 days, the credit card on file will be charged the retail value of the Item.

Care & Insurance

What does insurance cover?

Optional $15 insurance covers reasonable wear and tear, including small tears, small stains, broken clasps, and missing beads.

If the damage exceeds reasonable wear and tear, the Borrower will be charged the cost of repairs in addition to the Rental Fee already paid.

Borrower insurance does not cover loss, theft, or irreparable damages. This will result in the Borrower being charged the full retail value of the Item.

What if I damage or lose the item?

If you opted into Borrower insurance, you are protected against reasonable wear and tear.

Those that did not opt into Borrower insurance must pay all the repair costs in addition to the rental fee.

The Borrower's credit card will be charged the full retail value of the Item if the item is lost, stolen, or damaged beyond repair regardless of insurance coverage.

Can I alter or tailor my item?

Each Item is rented as-is. Permanent and temporary alterations are prohibited.

Do I need to clean the item?

No, we offer complimentary dry cleaning after each rental. Please do not wash or treat your Item.

If your item is damaged during your rental period, please let us know immediately.
