Borrower Agreement

Welcome to the Eight Cranes family! We are honoured to be a part of your circular wardrobe. Please read the Borrower agreement thoroughly and reach out to us with your questions. Eight Cranes Ltd. and Borrower hereby agree to the below.

Ownership

  • The Borrower  agrees to treat the Item with great care. We take care to maintain and preserve the Items entrusted in our care, and trust that Borrowers will do the same.

  • The First Day of the Rental Period is defined as the pick-up date. The Last Day of the Rental Period is defined as the day the Item must be in Eight Cranes’ possession by.

  • The Borrower’s credit card will be charged $50/day late fee if the Item is not returned on or by the Last Day of the Rental Period. Late fees will continue to be charged for 3 days at which point, the item will be deemed lost and the buyer will be charged the full Value of the item. 

  • The Borrower must return the original item, garment bag or tote, and hanger, or be subject to a $50 fee. 

Maintenance and Insurance

  • The Borrower must not clean or treat the Item. Professional cleaning is managed by Eight Cranes. 

  • Optional Borrower insurance covers reasonable wear and tear including small stains, small tears, missing beads, and broken clasps. Borrower insurance does not cover loss, theft, or irreparable damages. Eight Cranes will determine at its sole discretion whether damages exceed reasonable wear and tear covered by Borrower insurance. 

  • The Borrower will be charged the retail value of the item or the price for repairs in addition to the Rental Fee already paid if the Item is lost or irreparably damaged.

  • The Borrower must not alter the Item. This includes temporary tape or temporary stitches. 

  • The Borrower will refrain from using body makeup, tanning products, oils, and perfumes when wearing the Item

  • The Borrower understands that due the nature of the rental model, products may display minor signs of wear and tear

Cancellation & Extensions

  • All rentals are non-refundable. Borrowers may cancel their order up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled First Day of the Rental Period. A credit note will be issued to be used towards a future rental.

  • The Borrower can extend a rental period by 4 or 8 days if the item is available for the additional dates. Borrowers will be charged the regular 4 or 8 day rental rate for the Item.

  • The Borrower can swap their Item for another Item pending availability up to 48 hours prior to the scheduled First Day of the Rental Period. If the new Item is of greater value, Borrower will pay the difference. If the new Item is of lesser value, a credit note will be issued to be used towards a future rental. Credit notes do not expire. 

Credit Card Authorization

  • A credit card is required upon booking. The credit card will be charged if any terms of the Borrower Agreement are breached, including but not limited to, loss, irreparable damage, and late returns.
